About Us
Empowering Families of Young Children through Equity, Education, and Socialization
Yolo County Caregivers Collective, YoloC3, is an organization based in Yolo County, California, with the purpose of empowering families of young children, from newborns to approximately 5 years of age, by advancing equity, education, and socialization. This includes providing caregivers and families with access to educational resources, community support, developmental tools, and inclusive programs that promote the well-being and growth of young children, while fostering a nurturing and equitable environment for all families.
Our current mission is to create a sense of community through the centralization of information of all Yolo County resources, specifically for youth ages 0-5, in one location. This website is a hub for all families, new and experienced. YoloC3 will expand with the needs of our community. Over time our goal is to be a central location for all businesses and peoples to have a safe space to host services, including education, socialization, advocacy, and community service.

We are guided by the values of equity, education, socialization, empathy, and well-being.
How YoloC3 Started
The idea of YoloC3 was created in May 2023 by our co-founder, Zia Sloan. Being a new mom in a post-pandemic world, she soon came to realize the difficulties that arose, psychologically, physically, emotionally, work-related, and more. After researching for moms groups, walking groups, yoga parent and baby groups, lactation groups, exercise groups, educational parent groups, new-family events, she soon came to realize either they were all over the place and required a lot of research to find, or, they were next-to-non-existent due to post-pandemic ripples. She knew she wasn’t the only one who may be finding it difficult to create an accessible caregivers’ community of support for the many new areas of her and her family’s life. Recognizing the demand, Yolo County Caregivers Collective was brought to life!

After creating a Facebook (after not having one for 15 years) she joined and recruited moms, parents, and caregivers in the community with common needs. In Summer 2024, YoloC3 officially had its first Board of Directors!
